Audition FAQ

Due to high demand for RDYO programs from both current and new students, please review the FAQ below before reaching out with inquiries. While we strive to respond to all questions, response times may be delayed due to the large volume of applications we receive.

1. Do I need to audition?
  • New Students: All new students must audition to join RDYO.

  • Returning Students: If you are returning and staying in the same division, no audition is needed. You may proceed to registration.

  • Advancing to a Higher Division: If you wish to move to a higher division, an audition is required. The June in-person audition is the only opportunity to audition for advancement before the next season begins.

Participation in RDYO is selective, based on auditions for new students and a review for returning students. This review considers musicality, adherence to the Code of Conduct, attitude, and participation in the previous season. Registration does not guarantee admission to RDYO.

2. Should I register now?

If you are a new student to RDYO or if you are a returning student planning to move-up to another division, please register with us AFTER your audition results are out.

Participation in the RDYO is a competitive process by audition (for new students) or review (for returning students). The review includes criteria for the students’ attitude, musicality, adherence to the Code of Conduct and participation in the previous season. Registration does not guarantee admission to the RDYO.

3. I have registered, does that mean I’m in?

Thank you for completing the registration! We will be checking all the information.

You will know that your space has been secured if

a) You’ve paid the 4 required fees

b) You’ve received an email that says: “Congratulations! Your registration has been approved. Welcome to RDYO”

If this is not the case, you may be contacted to make the necessary payment or supplement of information.

4. Where do I find audition materials?

Audition materials are available on our website.

5. Can I pay by installment?

To request an installment plan, please contact loren@rdyo.ca.

  • For September Enrollment: Tuition Fee can be divided into three installments. The first payment is due upon registration, the second on January 8, 2025, and the final on March 8, 2025.

  • For January Enrollment: Tuition can be divided into two installments. The first payment is due upon registration, and the second on March 8, 2025.

6. Late Payment Policy
Late payments incur a penalty of 5% of the outstanding balance due on the payment deadline, plus an additional 1% for each full month overdue, up to a maximum of 12 months.

Please note: Pending payments will prevent participation in RDYO activities, including the scholarship competition.
