Rotary Club of Vancouver Centennial presents its annual fundraising concert on Saturday, Nov. 7th at Richmond Fraserview Church. This year, we have a star line up to perform for you. We have invited Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra, Morning Star Singers, Egret Choir,  Soprano Ariel Sung and her guest singers to help with our fundraising concert.
Funds are being raised to help the International Paraguay Water Project

The Rotary Club of Vancouver Centennial is hosting its annual fundraising concert on Saturday, November 7th at 6:30 pm at Richmond Fraserview Church. The concert will benefit the Paraguay Water Project, which will build a school to teach indigenous people to make ceramic water filters that will remove 99.9% of bacteria from water. Access to clean water will help eliminate the water borne diseases that are a leading cause of death among the youth and the elderly.

The concert will also support our new Nepal School international Project, a community project that aims to [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][insert goal here]. In this endeavour, we are pleased to have the support of the First Mandarin Circle and the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra.

The Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra (RDYO) led by conductor Stephen Robb will perform during the concert, alongside with Egret Choir and Morning Star Singers in the first half. During the second half of the concert, the RDYO will accompany soprano Ariel Sung and her students.

In addition to performance, there will be a silent auction. The Formosa Association of Students Cultural Ambassadors are supporting our fundraiser by making dolls from socks. The public is welcome to attend the concert and silent auction. Tickets are available from the RDYO.

We will be hosting a news conference on Saturday, October 17th at 11:30 a.m. at the Brighouse United Church, 8151 Bennett Road, Richmond BC V6Y 1N4.

The Vancouver Centennial Rotary Club is the only Mandarin Speaking Rotary club in North America founded in 2005. The club has been successfully provided community service and international aid, especially during natural disasters. The volunteers establish charity events such as music concerts and festivals to raise funds.  

The main objective of the Rotary Club is to provide community service and unite professionals world-wide to provide international aid for those in need. The Rotary Club is a non-political and non-religious association that currently consists of over 30,000 branches with approximately 120,000 active members.  

Through the connections of professionals in industries, the Rotary Club of Vancouver Centennial will organize more charitable activities relating to community, hope, and water.
