New players are required to audition before joining RDYO. There is a non-refundable fee of $30 for each application.

Time: Your audition time will be emailed to you on the 31st August, 2024 after you have applied.

Updated: There is no online audition for 24-25 season except under special circumstance agreed upon by the Operation Director and the Music Director. Please contact the Orchestra Manager at loren@rdyo.ca
Are you returning RDYO?
You do not need to audition. We will be introducing a cap on the number of registrations to ensure individual attention. Secure your place in the orchestra by registering before June 29, 2024 23:59 PST
We cannot guarantee a space if you register after this date. So don’t wait, register early!

SECOND CHILD DISCOUNT: You can obtain this arrangement by emailing loren@rdyo.ca your children’s name and division.
Participation in the RDYO is a competitive process by audition (for new students) or review (for returning students). The review includes criteria for the students’ attitude, musicality, and participation in the previous season. Registration does not guarantee admission to the RDYO.

Which division is suitable for me?
All of RDYO’s divisions are led by some of the best conductors and educators in British Columbia. Our program is carefully curated to include a balanced mix of musical and social activities through weekly rehearsals, music camp, workshop, concerts, competition and special events. You will be placed in the most suitable division upon a successful audition

Chamber is intended for Senior Strings and Symphony members. There is no separate audition for this group. Please indicate on audition form if you would like to be considered for Chamber.
