Isabel Ryznar is a violinist from Vancouver, BC. She has a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Toronto, where she studied with Marie Bérard. Her previous teachers include Jonathan Der and Erno Kabok. During her undergrad, Isabel enjoyed performing in numerous solo recitals, playing in masterclasses with the UofT violin faculty and guest teachers, performing great orchestral works with the UofT Symphony Orchestra directed by Uri Mayer, and performing string quartets with her friends. She has toured with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada directed by Sascha Goetzel, and participated in the Vancouver Symphony Orchestral Institute directed by Otto Tausk. Isabel’s love for playing in orchestra began when she was a student in RDYO for seven years, and she is excited to be able to give back to the youth orchestra that inspired her so much.
