Clara Sui is a violinist from Victoria, BC. During high school, she participated in the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra, Victoria Conservatory of Music Senior String Orchestra, UVic Quartet Fest West, and the Young Artists’ Collegium Program. She has also had the immense privilege of studying with the late Yehonatan Berick at Orford Music Academy in 2019 and 2020. She graduated in May 2023 with a BMus in high distinction from UBC under the tutelage of professors David Gillham and Jasper Wood. Other teachers have included Lawrie Hill, Michael van der Sloot, and Müge Büyükçelen.
She was a member of the National Academy Orchestra, which played for Brott Music Festival, last summer in Hamilton, Ontario.
Outside of music, she is passionate about student advocacy and community well-being. She teaches violin and volunteers for Vancouver General Hospital.
